(See our ballet slippers how-to pictures at the bottom of this page for instructions). Preschool girls are also welcome to wear tutus, leotards, ballet dress etc. to class if the host facility allows and parents choose to provide these items. Students must be able to be dressed before class starts.

Ballet Slippers— How To:
Make sure they are a comfortable but snug fit. Ballet slippers should be pink, leather, single-sole. Amazon has wonderful lace-free options or see below :
Pull laces so that there is a snug fit around the entire foot:
Tie in a square knot:
Cut the tips of the laces off:
Label the “Right” and “Left”: (Ballet shoes are the same on both sides but they will mold to the feet over time)
Watch her SHINE!
Our Little Ballerina’s feet tend to grow fast! While it is always best to buy shoes from a dance store to ensure a proper and professional fitting, it is perfectly fine to buy shoes at any local or discount shoe store that sells them. You will probably have to replace them frequently during your little one’s first few years of ballet!
